Terms & Conditions
The rules that govern your use of the platform.
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Root & Branch Cloud platform (“RaB Cloud”, “the Service”) and any related services provided by Root & Branch Digital Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15434575). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. The Service
RaB Cloud is a fully-managed cloud platform that allows you to deploy, scale and manage applications directly from source code or container images, without managing underlying infrastructure. We provide the Service in accordance with these Terms, the Service Level Agreement and our Privacy Policy, each of which forms part of the agreement between us.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- 01Store, transmit or distribute unlawful, harmful or infringing content.
- 02Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or related systems.
- 03Send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) or operate phishing activities.
- 04Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or regulation.
- 05Circumvent, disable or interfere with security features of the Service.
We may suspend or restrict access to the Service where we reasonably believe it is being used in breach of these Terms, and we will notify you where we are able to do so.
5. Fees & Payment
Pricing for the Service is published on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time with reasonable notice. Fees are billed monthly in advance and exclude VAT. Usage-based charges (such as additional storage) are calculated at the rates published at the time of use. If payment is not received when due, we may suspend the Service until the outstanding amount is settled.
6. Service Level Agreement
Uptime commitments and service credits are governed by our Service Level Agreement, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where the SLA conflicts with these Terms, the SLA prevails to the extent of the conflict.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights in the applications, code and data you deploy to the Service. We retain all rights in the Service, its software and documentation. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer the Service except as expressly permitted by applicable law.
8. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for breach of these Terms, non-payment or where required by law. Upon termination, you are responsible for retrieving your data from the Service, and we may delete it after a reasonable retention period.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal data.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
1. Who we are
Root & Branch Digital Ltd operates the Root & Branch Cloud platform, also known as “RaB Cloud”. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 15434575.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and delete personal information when you visit our website, create an account or use our services. Root & Branch Digital Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
You can contact us at hello@rootandbranch.io.
2. Information we collect
We collect information needed to provide and operate our services:
- 01Account information: your email address, username and any name or company information you provide.
- 02Billing information: billing contact details, addresses, invoices and payment-related records.
- 03Platform activity: deployment activity, resource usage, application logs and service statistics.
- 04Support information: enquiries, support requests and correspondence.
- 05Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, and session information.
If you choose Google sign-in, we also receive the information described below.
3. Google sign-in
Google sign-in is optional. You can use an email address and password instead.
When you sign in or connect your Google account, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, email verification status and authentication tokens. Google may also include your name and profile picture URL in the authentication response, depending on the permissions granted. These details may be included in the authentication information we store.
We use Google authentication information to:
- 01Create your RaB Cloud account or connect Google to an existing account.
- 02Authenticate you and identify the correct Cloud account.
- 03Display the connected Google account in Account Integrations.
- 04Protect your account and provide account-related functionality.
Your Google email address initially becomes your Cloud account email. We use your Cloud account email for essential service communications, such as account verification, security notices and billing notifications.
You may subsequently change your Cloud email without changing the connected Google account.
We do not receive or store your Google password. Our Google sign-in integration does not access your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts or calendar.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. Our handling of Google user data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
4. How we use personal information
We use personal information to provide and maintain RaB Cloud, manage accounts, process payments, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, secure the platform and meet legal obligations.
Our lawful bases include performing our contract with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing our services, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required.
5. Storage and sharing
Account and Google authentication information is stored in our databases and self-hosted authentication system. We use Scaleway for cloud infrastructure and transactional email delivery.
We share information with service providers only where needed to operate our services. Infrastructure providers process stored information on our behalf. Email providers receive the information needed to deliver service messages. Payment providers receive the information necessary to process payments.
Google processes information involved in Google sign-in under its own privacy policy.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where necessary to comply with applicable law or respond to a lawful request.
6. Security
We use HTTPS to protect information transmitted between your browser and our public services. Authentication, access controls and restricted administrative access help protect stored account information.
Cloud passwords are stored as password hashes rather than readable passwords. Authentication tokens are treated as credentials, and access to authentication records is restricted.
7. Retention, disconnection and deletion
We retain account information while your account remains active and as necessary to provide the services described in this policy.
Google account identifiers and authentication credentials are retained while Google remains connected to your Cloud account.
You can disconnect Google in Settings → Account Integrations. Disconnecting removes the Google connection and its associated credentials from our active authentication records. You must have another supported sign-in method before disconnecting Google.
Disconnecting Google does not delete your Cloud account or its email address. You can change that email address separately.
You can delete your account through Settings → Delete account, or request deletion by emailing hello@rootandbranch.io. Account deletion removes your Cloud account and its associated authentication identity, including connected Google credentials, from our active systems.
We retain account and Google authentication information while your account remains active or Google remains connected. Account deletion removes your Cloud account and associated authentication identity from our active systems.
You can also revoke Google permissions through your Google Account’s third-party connections settings. Revoking permissions does not automatically delete information already stored in your Cloud account.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain authentication sessions and operate the platform. Our website also uses analytics technologies to understand website usage.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or other account features from working.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information. You may also have rights to restrict processing, object to processing and receive a portable copy of your information.
To exercise these rights, email hello@rootandbranch.io. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our data practices change. Where required, we will notify you and obtain consent before using Google user data for a new purpose.
